REDARC joins CIVD

REDARC has recently been accepted as a supplier member in the CIVD, Europe’s largest caravanning industry association.

The CIVD has been representing the interests of European manufacturing industrial companies in the caravanning industry for over 50 years. It counts among its 134 members almost all German and European manufacturers of caravans and motor caravans, along with their suppliers and service providers.

Export Manager, Craig Herriot said “participation in this association strengthens REDARC’s position and involvement. With over 60,000 caravans and 70,000 campervans being manufactured in Europe annually, we are now well positioned to support future growth”.

In January, the CIVD asked REDARC to present at the CMT Fair in Stuttgart, Germany. The CMT Fair is the world’s largest public trade fair for tourism and leisure vehicles. David Murfett, REDARC’s Engineering Manager, travelled to the event to present who we are and what we can offer to the European Caravanning industry. There were over a hundred attendees including many of Europe’s leading caravan and campervan OEMs.

David outlined to attendees how caravaners can go ‘off grid’, the benefits of having a good in-vehicle battery charger, the future of lithium, CAN and LIN Bus communication and the impact of smart alternators.

These are exciting times for REDARC, as we look to position ourselves and ‘charge’ into the European market.
