REDARC finalists for Solutrans Innovation Awards

REDARC’s In-vehicle Battery Chargers have been selected as a finalist for the Solutrans Innovation Awards in the Equipment Manufacturers category at this year’s event in Lyon, France.

The Innovation Awards are an integral part of Solutrans, a biennial trade fair that focuses on haulage and urban transport vehicles. Solutrans takes place from the 21st to the 25th of November with the award ceremony taking place on the 21st.

The Innovation Award is organised and judged by the Lyon Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is awarded to the company who has introduced an innovative product that has the potential to improve the performance of a commercial or heavy vehicle.

The judges of the award will be evaluating several aspects of the product including its performance, market potential, economic value and environmental impact.

The event will mark the official launch of the In-vehicle Battery Chargers (Dual Range) to the European market. REDARC will be hoping to emulate the success they achieved at SEMA, the world’s premier automotive speciality products trade event in Las Vegas, USA in late October where the ‘Dual Range’ won the 2018 Global Media Award.

REDARC’s In-vehicle DC-DC battery chargers are available in 25 and 40-amp outputs and are designed to charge an auxiliary battery using solar and DC inputs simultaneously. They can be used for 12 or 24-volt vehicle systems with either standard or variable voltage/smart alternators and are compatible with all common types of battery including Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4).

Speaking of the nomination, Export Manager Craig Herriot said, “We are thrilled to be announced as a finalist for our BCDC Dual Range. They have proven to be incredibly popular in Australia since their release and we hope to replicate their success in Europe, and being nominated for the Solutrans Innovation Award is a great starting point.”

Innovation is at the heart of REDARC’s core values, this is reflected by the number of awards we have won in 2017 including AAAA Excellence in Manufacturing – Gold Award (Over $10 million annual turnover), Most Innovative Manufacturing Company Award at the Manufacturer’s Monthly Endeavour Awards and the 2018 Global Media Award at SEMA.

Solutrans is expected to attract over 900 national and international exhibitors including vehicle and body equipment manufacturers, industrial vehicle body builders and dealer networks. You can visit REDARC at stand 6 W 095 at Solutrans to learn more about the BCDC and other products suited for commercial and heavy vehicles.
