RedVision wins Good Design Award

Recipients of the award on behalf of REDARC were key project personnel Dylan Pinkard, Andrew Davis, Clinton Smith and Frederico Roldan.

REDARC are delighted to announce that our RedVision Total Vehicle Management System has been unveiled as a Good Design Award Winner for 2018 by Good Design Australia in the Product Design Sport and Lifestyle category.

These awards are in recognition of outstanding design and innovation, representing the highest honour for design innovation in Australia. With winners travelling from all over the country, the announcement was made in style at the Sydney Opera House on May 17th in what was a milestone 60th anniversary for the awards body.

The award recipients were presented with the new sustainably designed trophies by special guest, Jan Utzon (son of Jorn Utzon, who designed the Sydney Opera House), presenting the Good Design Award® of the Year and congratulating all of the 2018 Winners.

The 60th Anniversary Good Design Awards attracted a record number of entries and of the 536 innovative designs, only 260 projects were selected to receive a coveted Good Design Award.

“This is a significant achievement for REDARC and RedVision, considering the high standard of submissions received this year”, said Anthony Kittel.

“This is a true testament to the R&D and innovation we put behind each and every one of our products. Our Vision for REDARC is to produce highly innovative products and RedVision is one great example of that.

“We are proud to provide the highest quality, designed, developed, and engineered products. Not only are they built and tested in Australia to withstand the harshest conditions, they maintain a focus on ease of use and forward thinking for our customers changing needs”, he stated.

The Awards attracted a very high calibre of submissions across 10 main design disciplines and 28 sub-categories. With an independent panel comprising of design, engineering and architectural design experts carefully evaluating each submission.

Commenting on RedVision, the Good Design Awards Jury remarked, “Great overall product. Industrial design and interface design spot on.

“This is a clean integrated solution that is reliable and robust. Clever interface that is super simple to use and operate.

“The fuse box can be accessed easily for replacing when needed and a faulty fuse is lit and identified, making it really easy to replace - big plus for that.”

The Awards celebrate the best new products and services on the market, highlighting an excellence in architectural design, digital and communication design and rewarding emerging areas of design including business model innovation, social impact and design entrepreneurship. Through their annual Good Design Awards program, they proudly showcase superior examples of good design to a national and international audience.

RedVision is a Total Vehicle Management System which sets a new level of automation in the recreational vehicle industry by bringing information and control right to the user’s fingertips.

RedVision is available as factory fit on selected caravans, camper trailers and motorhomes.

Winners of the Good Design Awards will be showcased to the general public during Vivid Sydney, the world's biggest festival of light, music and ideas in Sydney from 25-27 May 2018 at the Overseas Passenger Terminal, Circular Quay. RedVision will also be available for demonstration at the upcoming Queensland Caravan Camping and Touring Super Show June 6 – June 11.
