The award was given in the construction up to $2.5 million category at the Australian Institute of Building (AIB) Professional Excellence In Building Awards SA Chapter.

Johnny Pesce, Project Manager of Partek Industries Pty Ltd was presented with the High Commendation at the awards event held at the Hyatt Hotel on Friday 9 th May 2008.

Award recipients included the building and associated professionals who had successfully overcome challenges to ensure the timely completion of projects on budget, introducing practical application of industry influenced research and protecting the integrity of original structures and facades.

Managing Director, Anthony Kittel, said that “The professional approach of Partek’s Project Manager, Johnny Pesce, and site foreman, Jeff Bruce ensured that the project was completed on schedule and on budget. Our building has been designed to minimise the environmental impact with full recycling facilities and site water being collected for use in the gardens. The building features a lot of glass to bring the outside in and create a pleasant work environment. It also ensures that there are no barriers between individual departments, allowing us to fully develop our team culture. We particularly wanted to create an environment for our engineers where innovation thrives. Quite simply, the future prosperity of Redarc depends in large part on our ability to maximise innovation and creativity. With Patrek’s construction experience and skill this has been achieved.”

REDARC has also received widespread praise from Electronics Industry peers. “Many electronics companies have been given a tour of REDARC Electronic’s new facility by Managing Director Anthony Kittel. Everyone who has seen the facility first hand has been impressed by the state of the art décor, equipment and environmentally friendly elements”, commented Greg Bassani, Executive Director, Electronics Industry Association. “We were very impressed with the clean, flexible and environmentally friendly operation and believe that the REDARC team should be justifiably proud of the world class facility that has been established”, added Brian Noble, Technical Operations Manager, Fiberbyte Pty Ltd.
