Senior Accountant Management Position

REDARC is a Lonsdale, South Australian based, advanced electronics manufacturer currently employing 195 people. REDARC is the 2014 Telstra Australian Business of the Year.  REDARC Electronics is a poster child for manufacturing in Australia.

This is a great opportunity to work for one of Australia's leading designers and manufacturers of sophisticated electronic products for global markets. 

The role will assist in the decision-making process, delivering analytical support, including budgeting and forecasting and the presentation and evaluation of business cases. Your analytical expertise and support to the business will be harnessed to drive growth and profit through the development of specialised reporting and analysis for improved decision making, improved profitability, improved efficiency and productivity of operations.

Key to the role will be managing the month end close process for multiple entities located in Australia and offshore, including month-end journals and reconciliations. You will provide informative analysis of monthly results including examining income, expenditure, operating costs and margins along with reporting to management on variances to budget.

Further, the role will support business operations whilst ensuring and driving accurate and appropriate internal controls and compliance whilst delivering month-end and statutory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the business to drive growth and profit through the development of specialised reporting and analysis for improved decision making, improved profitability and improved efficiency and productivity of operations.
  • Manage the month end close process for multiple entities located in Australia and offshore.
  • Assist in the co-ordination and preparation of consolidated budgets and forecast in line with business requirements.
  • Assist in the establishment and implementation of systems and processes as the business expands in new markets and jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.

Candidate Profile: 

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills with a professional and confident attitude, be able to work autonomously and reliably. You will need to have good organisational skills and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • You will have a degree in accounting or a business-related discipline. A CA/CPA qualification is desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar commercial environment.
  • Strong ERP system and BI reporting tool knowledge.
  • Continuous improvement mind set with an ability to implement and automate accounting processes as well as business processes as required.
  • Ability to be both adaptable to and be a driver and influencer of change and improvement in a constantly growing and evolving business.
