The REDARC BCDC1225 is a 12 Volt 25 Amp In-vehicle DC to DC charger designed to keep your auxiliary battery charged whilst driving or with portable solar panels when you’re parked. The system charges your auxiliary battery to their optimum levels, using multi-stage DC-DC charging.

As a guide, the BCDC1225 is suited for a battery bank size of 75-200AH. REDARC recommends the BCDC1240 for over 200AH. It will provide a battery chemistry specific charging profile and is able to achieve and maintain an optimal charge to all major lead-acid batteries.

The BCDC dual battery charger will work with a wide operating range (9 – 32V) giving the option of charging from both 12V and 24V vehicle systems.

The BCDC DC-DC charger also features a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) solar regulator, allowing you to deliver the maximum amount of power from your solar panels to your auxiliary battery.

With multiple levels of fault protection. The smart charger will act as a dual battery isolator, should the voltage get too low, the start battery will be protected.

Perfect Dual Battery setup!
This battery charger is small and efficient, the best I’ve used so far. I had my good friends at ARB install the whole setup for me with the inclusion of the Redarc charger. It’s all setup in a neat little box in the rear tray of my car. I’ve had no issues with it after 4WDing, loading up the tray and plugging a heap of different appliances into the battery. So far it’s a bullet proof piece of technology!

Fully Charged!
When installing new batteries for under-bonnet operations, cranking and auxiliary (deep cycle), we needed an isolation system, along with solar connection and fast controlled charging. There isn’t much room under the hood of the 79 series, but the BCDC1225 fitted neatly behind the grille. With the heat from the big V8, and from getting wet at the recent water crossings of our Cape York trip, we gave it a good working out. The unit would take care of all the charging and never missed a beat. Our auxiliary battery was back to 100% most days by our morning tea stop, and for longer stays at camp, we used the Anderson plug for our portable solar panels. It’s just a clever unit and looks after our batteries perfectly.  Grant
