Problem:
When the BMS1215S2 is connected to a 24V vehicle electrical system (charging a 12V battery) and is using the solar or mains input as a charging source, there is a small standby current drawn from the 24V battery. If the vehicle is left connected to the BMS1215S2 for extended periods, it may significantly discharge the 24V battery.
Solution:
This can be overcome by installing an ignition controlled relay in the 24V supply line between the battery positive terminal and the BMS1215S2 DC input. Please refer to the diagram below.
