FUNCTION

The multi circuit distribution or booster box is designed to switch the trailer light circuits from the main battery supply using the primary circuit of the prime mover as the control triggers only.
Please note these are not Voltage Reducers.

This removes the major load from the prime mover circuits, which is important in a road train (3, 4 or 5 trailers) application to prevent damage to the vehicle's electrical system. It operates from a nominal 12 or 24 volt electrical system and provides five 12-volt or 24 volt output circuits for trailer lighting. The standard 12 volt product has a total switching capacity of up to160 amps. The standard 24 volt product has a switching capacity of up to 85 amps. Higher amperage units can also be manufactured to customer specification.

PROTECTION

Four or five circuits (as specified) are fitted with a manual resettable circuit breaker, (reverse can be wired straight through).
