REDARC has developed considerable knowledge and expertise in CAN technology in order to meet the growing need for products that are CAN enabled. The scope for CAN is increasing rapidly, including ;
- Diagnostic tools
- Data logging of vehicle performance and/or operator demands
- Fleet management systems
- Interfacing of otherwise incompatible modules within a vehicle system
- Addition of interface modules for spotlights, display units, alarms, control inputs, etc.
- CAN enabling of existing products such as trailer lighting reducers, etc.
- Programmable Logic Control type modules
- Interface to vehicle body builder's gateway
REDARC has produced a number of CAN enabled products and has proven ability to successfully interface to a vehicle CAN bus, read and interpret data, write to the CAN bus to control devices and to display any information the user needs. As part of the development projects, REDARC has developed an analysis tool that allows the CAN data to be displayed as shown by the example images below.
